Summer Camp Ropes Course Training 2024

Hey Reader!

Dear Team,

I’m pleased to invite you to a special Ropes Course Training from June 5th through 7th at The Adirondack Club. This training is not just an introductory session; it’s a carefully designed program that promises to elevate your skills and teamwork to a new level.

Training Details:

  • Dates: Wednesday, June 5th to Friday, June 7th
  • Time: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break)
  • Location: The Adirondack Club
  • Compensation: $15 per hour training rate

This session stands apart from typical ice-breaker or orientation activities you might have experienced in school or other settings. Our approach integrates advanced team-building exercises with practical ropes course skills. For some context, this is the same company that hosted a bunch of the Bruins for some team building in 2010/2011, and for those of you who do not recall what happened that June 2011... The Bruins won their first Stanley Cup in about 40 years! These activities are tailored to enhance your quick thinking, collaboration, and ability to engage campers in dynamic and enjoyable ways.

For those of you involved in the Active Kids program, there is an option to work additional shifts from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on training days. While this can extend your day, it’s entirely your choice, and either decision will be fully supported.

Why This Training Matters: Beyond learning to navigate and instruct on the ropes course safely, this training will empower you to create enriching, fun, and safe experiences for our campers. The skills and teamwork you develop here will translate into more effective and spontaneous interactions throughout the camp season.

Please Confirm Your Attendance: We need your confirmation by Monday, May 27th, to ensure we have everything set for an optimal training experience. If you’re unable to attend, please inform us promptly so we can adjust accordingly.

We are looking forward to a great training session with you all. Your participation is not just beneficial—it's essential to making this summer unforgettable for both you and our campers. I can promise you will have more tricks up your sleeve when Camp starts after attending these three days!

Best!

James and Tiffani

It’s the time of year when many of us are planning summer vacations, a chance to step out of the daily grind, change our environment and try new things. But for the health-conscious among us, it can also feel like walking a tightrope. Overdo it on the treats and lazy days, and you risk undoing months of hard work. Stay too restrictive, and you miss out on the whole point of a getaway. The key, as usual, is balance. A vacation doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing proposition when it comes to...

If a better quality of life is what you’re after, there’s one key factor that most people overlook. And no … it’s not squats, deadlifts or Brussels sprouts … though yeah, most people neglect those, too. I’m talking about consistency. Doing small things that nudge you closer to your goal, and doing them consistently. That’s it! Change happens gradually, not overnight. So big, sweeping changes all at once usually work against us and move us farther away from our goals. Small actions executed...
